Dining In This Valentines Day

Valentines Day Dinning in for Two

This year because I'm working the day after Valentines Day, I have decided to try a Valentines Day Meal Deal and have a quiet night in. I've been looking at the different types of meal deals that are on offer from the big super markets. I have listed the options for Marks and Spencers, Tesco and Asda. I would have included Sainsbury's, but because they didn't have the same format as the others, I didn't feel it would be a meal for two, on a budget. Below is just a sample of some of the options that each Super Market has to offer. It is not an exhaustive list and if you would like to see more, please visit their website or pop in store. I thought it might be helpful for anyone who is dining in this Valentines day, to have a breakdown.

Marks & Spencer Starters- Thai- Styled Fishcakes Coquilles St Jacques Chicken,

and honey & orange liqueur parfait Main - 2 sirloin steaks, 2 salmon roses and Gastropub duck a l'orange. Side Chunky- Chips, Garlic Mushroom and Rosemary Potatoes Desert-2 Black Forest Rose Deserts, 2 Raspberry & Prosecco spheres and Millionaire's shortbread Chocolates-Heart Shaped Chocolates Wine - A selection of wines, prosecco, cava and non-alcoholic alternatives

 

Tesco Starter- N/A Main (Options of 10 saints)- Steak and black Pepper sauce, Goat Cheese Tart and Slow Cooked Pork Shoulder. Side (11) Triple cooked chips, Green Vegetables and Trio Petit Pois and Carrots Desert (16) Profiteroles, Apple Eves Pudding and Cheese Cake Slices Chocolates-Tesco Indulgent collection Wine- Champagne, Pignoletto and Faugeres

 

Asda Starter- Special Runny Scotch Egg, Butter Cherry Tomato and Mozzarella Tartlets Gran Antipasto Main- Steak, Slow cooked Lamb Shanks and Beef Wellington Side-Garlic Stuffed Chestnut Mushroom, Broccoli and Cauliflower Cheese and Carrots and Parsnips with Jersey Butter Desert-Creeme Burless, English Cheese Board and All- Butter Tastes Au Citron. Chocolates- N/A Wine-Cabernet Sauvignon Pinot Grigio Douro ​
